I think that it's a good idea and all, but it doesn't really make much sense. The funding for both is equal, but the participation isn't. So there are less girls playing sports, but the same amount of money for boys' and girls' sports. I think that it would make a lot more sense if the funding was proportional to the amount of athletes participating.
That way, it wouldn't be wasting money. If everyone got what they needed instead of what was equal, I think that would be better. Of course, then they would have to make sure that everyone could get the money that they needed. So I think that Title IX doesn't need to be gotten rid of, it just needs to be changed to be more effective.

I love to read. Books are so amazing because when you read one it's like you are there. You go into the book to experience the world that the characters are in. You forget about everything else. You laugh and cry, worry and celebrate, all over PAPER AND INK. It's amazing.
I personally like science fiction and fantasy, because it's such a different world that you go into. Everything is different, and it is limited only by the author's imagination. I think that people should get off their phones and just READ sometimes. I love to read, and I think that everyone should do it more often. I am proud of overcoming my fear of dogs. They used to scare me. I was so terrified that one was going to chase me, or bark at me, or bite me. So, naturally, when my dad announced that we were getting a dog, I kinda freaked out.
Our puppy was super sweet. He was bad sometimes, but he was very nice and he didn't bite me or bark at me or chase me. He was so cute. Getting a dog helped me overcome my fear of dogs and now I love them. When I grow up I want to read. I would be perfectly happy if I got to read all day. Unfortunately, no one is going to pay me for sitting around all day. I want to be an author or an editor or something like that. I also want to travel. There is a slight problem with the travel thing because I really don't like cars and planes. It will be worth it though when I get to my destination.
I want to live in the Pacific Northwest because I really don't like the weather here sometimes. I don't like the heat or the cold. Maybe Seattle or somewhere around there. I also want a cat. I have wanted a cat for years but my sister and my dad are allergic, so... bye bye kitty dreams. When I get my own house I want a cat. When I grow up I want to do a lot and see a lot. I want to be an author or editor and have a cat and live in the Pacific Northwest. Some people who have had a great impact on my life are authors, because they write books. I love to read, so books are a big part of my life. I love books, especially fantasy and science fiction. Some of my favorite authors are J.K Rowling, Christopher Paolini, and Susanne Collins. They are the authors of some of my favorite books.
I could read those books over and over again, and I do. Every time they change. Books have had a huge impact on my life, and I honestly can't imagine a life without books. Authors have had a huge impact on my life, and the books they write are amazing. If I were president I would try to send people to Mars. That would be a very big deal. If people could go to Mars, it would mean that we could advance even farther into space. It would also just be super cool to see people on Mars.
If I were president I would try to reduce/stop global warming. That way our planet would last longer. I would try to reduce greenhouse gases by changing cars so they pollute less. It would make the planet cleaner and healthier. That way, we could make the planet last longer. If I were president I would try to save endangered species. They should not go extinct. I would try to protect them. The endangered animals would be protected by laws. If I were president I would try to send people to Mars, try to stop global warming, and try to save endangered species. If I were to invent a new Olympic event it would be yo-yoing. Why? Because it would be a super cool event to watch. It would also be fun to do. You would have a routine with different tricks. It would be an amazing event. Everyone would want to see it.
People would come just to see yo-yoing. Yo-yoing would be a very different sport. It is unusual and I think that it would be very interesting to see yo-yoing in the Olympics. Yo-yoing would be a big hit. Yo-yoing should be an Olympic spot. The Best Snow Day Ever! I woke up at 8 in the morning. At first, I panicked because the bus comes at 8:10. I ran downstairs to find my parents and siblings staring out the living room window. I smiled. Snow was coming down hard. The ground was already covered in at least 7 inches. On the radio it said that at least 7 more inches was expected. The thermometer read 9 degrees Fahrenheit. It was a snow day!
I walked into the kitchen and got breakfast. Afterwards, I asked my mom if we could go sledding. She said yes. We called our friends and asked if they wanted to come. They all said yes. We made plans to go sledding with them on the golf course at 11:00. While we anxiously waited for eleven o'clock to come, we baked banana bread. It came out of the oven at 10:30. We sat it on the counter to cool. Then we started the long process of getting dressed. We pulled on layer after layer. The snow was still coming down. We grabbed our sleds and headed out. We trudged through the snow down the street. None of the sidewalks were shoveled, so it was slow going. We finally made it to the golf course. Then our friends arrived. We all got on our sleds and raced down the hill. I won. We went down again and again. My sister crashed into a tree. We all laughed at that. After a while we all got cold and tired, so we went to our house for banana bread. Afterwards, we played indoors for a while. We asked if our friends could spend the night. Mom said yes, because school had been canceled for the next day too. We stayed up late, playing games and watching movies. Around 2 in the morning we began to drift off. I curled up next to my dog and smiled. It had been a great day. If I had just discovered $1 million treasure, I would want to do a lot. Here are some of the things I would want to do with the money. . .
From Lion, one of the lessons I learned was to never give up. Sharoo didn't give up on finding his family, even though it was very unlikely that he would ever find them. He persevered, and his hard work was rewarded: he found his family and hometown. I think that never give up is a very good lesson to learn and that it can help you a lot in life.
I think that it's amazing that Sharoo was able to find his family/hometown at all. He took a wild stab and found his hometown. If he hadn't done that, he might not have found it. When he got to his old home, it was abandoned, but he was lucky enough to find someone who knew where his mother was. I think that it was a great story. |
